July: Airshows, Bike Rides and a couple Sunny Days with Maji and Olivia....

Well, right on time, Seattle received it's first 'summer' day AFTER the 4th of July weekend. We finally broke out the baby pool in the back yard and soaked in some sunshine. Luca and Andrew spent the day at the super cool airshow at the airforce base and got to see lots of planes and guys parachuting! Needless to say, Luca still talks abou this day. Megan had to work her last few days and events on the weekends for Rugby WA so the month went by quick with not too much to report until the final days of the month....keep reading below......

Maji and Auntie Livia Visit!!!: We had 2 great overlapping weeks of visits with Maji and Olivia. This was Luca's FIRST ever 1 on 1 time with his Mama's Mama! (Without sharing her with his other two beautiful cousins). We had a great time at the beach, at the zoo and more. Then Livi came and we returned to the zoo and of course, Golden Gardens!

Catching Up: May/June 2010

Well, it has been too long again...but thanks to Steph Dooley, I'm inspired to update this site. Sorry, I'm suffering from an identity crisis so I've renamed the BLOG AGAIN! We had a pretty sad summer in terms of weather, so the Red Blanket Adventures did not make it very far this summer...so, we'll return to basics and just update this blog about all things "HOOKS" so...here is what we did in May/June

May: Megan ran the Vancouver 1/2 Marathon for the second time with Team in Training. Luca and Andrew came up to cheer her on and Yaya 'aka Andrew's mom' came over from Victoria to spend the day with the 'boys.'

Late May: Luca's Last Days of School

Luca had a great first year of 'school' / co-op with Mommy. We had a great time and Luca grew so much. Here is a pic of him walking up the big hill to the classroom looking cool. It made me realized how fast things happen when you're one. The first day of school in September 09 he couldn't even walk yet! And here he is, with a swagger!

June: As we've already blogged about, here is another picture below from our trip to a super fun farm in Issaquah. This time we ventured with our Friend Madeline who has since moved across the country to Baltimore, MD! We miss her so much!

June: Finally, we returned to Las Vegas to visit Megan's family. We haven't seen them in 6 months - a record! We had a great time filled with swimming, staying cool, a belated 30th Birthday Party, Luca had his first marygoround ride and lots and lots of cousin bonding!

Today we opened our "Big Red Blanket Season" when we ventured east to Issaquah, WA to visit Fox Hollow Farm.

We met up with our friends from Co-Op preschool, PEPS and our friends Corin, Misha and Ivan. We saw so many animals including a baby pony. Now, ponies are tiny, but baby ponies are just itty bitty! We ate lunch out in the sunshine with our friends on our blanket. Drinks, peas and broccoli was spilled, but the blanket can take it. This is going to be a great season....

A year has already gone by - I turned one on Thursday!! Can you believe it! I had a big party with a lot of my best friends. My mom made me a delicious cupcake! YUMMERs!

10 months old and WAY over due for an update!

I know, I know, I know. My mom tells me you are all giving her a hard time about me not posting in the last 4 months. I am SO sorry! I have been very busy growing up and this past couple of weeks traveling all over the country. My mom and I just got back from a trip to Virginia and Las Vegas to see family and friends. I had such a great time and my mom kept going on and on about how good I was and how proud she was of me. I had so much fun playing with my cousins and going swimming and playing with so many new toys. It has been 4 months so there is so much to catch up on. So here is a brief list of all that I've been up to just the last few months:

I've gone from sitting sturdy, to scooting on my bootie, to crawling (at 9 months).
I can pull myself up on anything, I especially like pulling up on mom's hair when she's playing with me. She gets mad about that for some reason.
I said my very first word "DOGGIE", I've been saying it for months (even mom thinks so) but this time it was very clear and I said it when I first saw my doggie Bailey after missing her for 2 weeks while we were gone. My Dad, Mom and Uncle Benj hear it loud and clear. Finally - they understand me.
I LOVE swimming. My mom says my skin doesn't love it as much as I do, but I had the best time swimming in my cousin's pool in Las Vegas. I really liked the day Uncle Marty was testing out the heater and the water was 100 degrees - it felt like bathtime!!! It was ok because, believe it or not, it was kind of chilly and windy that day so it felt really nice.
I can wave hello and goodbye now. My mom first saw me do this when my friend Audrey came over to babysit me so my Mom could check out my new school for next year. We were very excited.
I went to my first sporting event - the MLS team - Seattle Sounders on Mother's day. I'm really cute in my jersey.
I can eat food with my own two hands now - I love Cheerios, peas, carrots and anything else I can pick up and smoosh with my hands and now, 4 teeth.
Like my mom has been saying all along - I love music. I like to dance when I first hear my favorite CDs played.
Me and my mom and dad have been going on lots of bike rides. My mom found a sweet deal on a trailer for me to ride in and we've been hitting the trails up ever since. Our goal is to ride around a San Juan this summer. (I'm not sure what that is.....)

That is about it. As you can see, I've been really busy growing up here. I will be 1 year old in just 1 1/2 months!!! Can you believe it?? My mom and dad can't. :)

HI Friends and Family -
Can you believe it is already the middle of March and I'm 7 Months old ??? Wow, how time files. I just got back from a fun trip to see my family in Victoria, BC. I had a great time. I got to play with my uncle Benj and see my Yaya and Poppy again. I also got to see lots of my mom and dad's friends - two of the ladies are getting ready to welcome some friends for me into this world this summer. (Very exciting)
I just found out today that my Auntie Livi got into the University of Washington - OH how I hope she comes here to live near me. It sure would make me happy. (Yep - My mom went there - she's using my blog to campaign!!) Anyway, I have two teeth now - they are sharp. I eat all kinds of foods and don't show any signs of slowing down with my growing - I weighed in at 22 lbs this week - time for a new carseat!

6 1/2 Months Updates

This has been a really busy couple of weeks for me. I mentioned before that I got my first tooth and now I'm working on my second. I have now eaten sweet potatoes AND peas. I like sweet potatoes better, but peas are ok. I like to make lots of noises because I'm trying to talk to my mom, dad and their friends. I had a great time at my Mom's fun event - the inaugural Run with Abe 5k - I've added a picture from that too. I miss all my family in Las Vegas, LA and Canada. Hugs and kisses to you all!

6 Months OLD!

HI Guys - this has already been a BIG week for me and I'm not even 6 months old until Friday!

I got my first tooth today and I started drinking formula this week too. I'm just getting so big.

It has been a long time again since my last post. But I've been busy working on sitting up on my own. I'm getting closer all the time. Sometimes I sit for a long time, other times I forget I can do it and get scared. My Yaya and Poppy are coming this weekend so my parents can have a night out to themselves. I am going to be very good for them!

Hello Everyone! 2008 (well...4 1/2 months of it) was really great for me! I've already had such a great time. I'm going to be ringing in the new year with my Mom in Las Vegas....Dad is leaving to go home to Seattle and we're staying for an extra week.

Christmas was so much fun! I was only a little bit spoiled.

Hi Everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! We had a great day with our friends, everyone cooked and I even joined them at the table in my big boy high chair!! My friend Tess had lots of fun looking at me and playing with Bailey! We're getting excited for Christmas already - pictures of the tree will be up soon. For some reason (my mom can't figure it out - if you click on this text you will find a funny picture of me in my bed....I woke up with my blankets all over the place...Mom and Dad said I looked very cute and I was just talking and talking and happy as could be in my blanket pile!

Well, I've had a pretty busy couple of weeks. My uncle Ben came to visit with Ananda, Alex and Megan. They had a fun time going to the Seahawks game, but probably even more fun playing the Catan board game!!

I spit up all over myself a lot as you can see in one of these pictures but I'm also grabbing things and really smiling and laughing a lot! I am still having fun hanging out with the babies from my mom's "Mom group" (Baby group).

My mom started her Team in Training season this Saturday so that means every Saturday morning I get to hang out with my dad - we have lots of fun taking Bailey for walks and fixing stuff around the house.

HI Guys - Today my mom hosted the Mom's group she's a part of (I like to think of it as a babies group if you ask me...) Most of the babies dressed up or wore some halloween attire...it was pretty fun...even more fun was watching all the moms try to put us on my couch! This second picture is of me with my three new girlfriends...yeah, I'm a pretty lucky monkey.

I'm going to another party later this week - I'm sure I'll find some more friends there too to have my picture taken with.

Hi Everyone - this has been a HUGE week for me and it is only Wednesday. I had my first trip to the Barking Dog on Sunday night with my friends from New York and my friends from down the street (Lisa, Tyler, Dan, Eliza and Marta). Then I snuggled with Dad and Bailey and then I got my Halloween costume with mom - I'm going as a Sock Monkey. I tried it out today...try not to just die from the cuteness please! Be sure to watch my video.

Two months old in my Swimming Trunks!

HI Friends - I just had my 2 month Dr.'s apt today and here are my stats: 14 lbs 11 oz, 24 inches tall - I'm in the 95 % of all babies my age! Wow - I am BIG!! So why in swimming trunks you ask? Well, my mom bought these for me, but sadly, I'm pretty much grown out of them and we never got a nice day to go swimming! So - we decided to have a photo shoot instead... I'm pretty cute, I know. My mom should have known there would not be much use for swimmin' trunks in Seattle anyway....oh well! I just had a bunch of shots, so I'm going to take a long nap now....

My Canadian Travels

Hi Friends! I had a great time on my trip to Canada. I met my Great Grandma (Grams) and lots more of my Dad's family and friends. My Uncle Ben had a party just for me and invited lots of nice people. Me and my Yaya ran our very first 8K Road Race and we had a great Turkey dinner - yummy! I was very very good for my mom and dad on the trip up and back and I slept like a dream while we were there. However, since we've been back home, I've been a bit of a fusser for my mom all week! I did discover my doggie Bailey this week. She is so fun to look at with her black and white fur - she always tries to lick me, but my mom tells her not to.

Going to start the Holiday Season in Canada - Yay!

Hi Everyone !

We're off to Victoria this weekend to meet all of my Dad's friends and family. It is Thanksgiving in Canada on Monday so that means it is time to start eating and not stop until January 1st. We took Bailey to the Doggie Hotel this morning - we're feeling a little sad about it....she loves going to Victoria, but me and all my stuff take up too much room in the car, so there is no room for her. Sorry Bails!

Wish me luck at the boarder that the officers do not give me a hard time for not having my passport yet...it will be here in a couple weeks.
